Bio-K has arrived! A revolutionary coating patented by Kenosistec in collaboration with IIT – Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia.<\/p>\n
The new translucent film is able to confer antibacterial and antiviral properties to any surface, while maintaining its original aesthetic characteristics. The coating, deposited using Hi.P.Po PVD sputtering technology, has been shown to be able to kill up to 99.9% of common bacteria and viruses such as SARS-CoV-2, responsible for COVID-19, Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus.<\/p>\n
Mauro Margherita, CEO of Kenosistec, explains\u00a0“Anyone of us who travels by public transport or enters an office – when they touch surfaces, inexorably, they come into contact with more or less dangerous germs. The advantage of having surfaces that destroy bacteria and viruses on their own after a short time from contact without any external cleaning, preserving certain characteristics such as transparency, is therefore fundamental.
