Institut Jean Lamour (IJL), based in Nancy, is a leading research center in materials, applied physics and nanotechnology. With more than 500 researchers and a strong interdisciplinary focus, IJL develops advanced solutions for applications ranging from microelectronics to functional materials for energy.
As part of its research activities, IJL recently selected our KS400HR horizontal PVD sputtering facility. The plant is designed to meet the needs for precision, versatility and cleanliness required by the scientific community, contributing to the development of new materials and devices at the nanometer level
The Trento-based Bruno Kessler Foundation (FBK) is a center of excellence in applied semiconductor research, focusing on advanced devices such as integrated sensors, MEMS and quantum technologies. Its Sensors & Devices center operates in state-of-the-art clean room environments, where devices are developed for applications ranging from high-energy physics to biomedical technologies.
To make these devices, FBK employs PVD techniques, which are critical for creating high-precision thin layers on substrates intended for microchips and sensors. These processes require highly customized facilities capable of ensuring uniformity, cleanliness and strict thermal control.
Almar – Made in Italy is an Italian excellence specialized in the design and production of metal furniture systems and components for the bathroom environment.
To guarantee high-level, long-lasting and sustainable surface finishes, Almar employs PVD technologies, which are essential to give its products superior aesthetic and performance characteristics. PVD coatings are produced in controlled environments, using industrial facilities designed to ensure maximum adhesion, color uniformity and wear resistance, while meeting the highest environmental standards. These processes allow Almar to combine elegance and durability, strengthening its position as a benchmark in Made in Italy bathroom design.
